Na stronie ZKP przeczytałam, że w wydawnictwie Peter Lang ukazała się anglojęzyczna książka o Kaszubach, pod redakcją dr. hab. Cezarego Obracht-Prondzyńskiego i dr. Tomasza Wicherkiewicza.
Dzieło jest zatytułowane "The Kashubs: Past and Present" (w wolnym tłumaczeniu: Kaszuby: historia i współczesność), stanowi drugi tom serii Nationalisms across the Globe (w dosłownym przekładzie: Z narodowościami przez świat).
W opisie bibliograficznym książki widnieją następujące miejsca wydania: Oxford, Bern, Berlin, Bruxelles, Frankfurt am Main, New York, Wien.

W tej notce szczególnie mi się podoba następujące stwierdzenie: "The Kashubs, a regional autochthonous group inhabiting northern Poland, represent one of the most dynamic ethnic groups in Europe" (Kaszubi, rdzenna/autochtoniczna grupa ludności zamieszkująca w północnej Polsce, stanowią jedną z najbardziej dynamicznych/najdynamiczniej się rozwijających grup etnicznych w Europie".
Jak pięknie to brzmi! Trochę mniej mnie zachwyca "regional identity" (tożsamość regionalna) i "regional autochthonous group" (regionalna autochtoniczna grupa? tak dziwnie to brzmi, że pominęłam to sformułowanie w przekładzie zdania, które wprawiło mnie w dumę :)).
